Take your joy

Tonita Andrei

Albeit his earlier works are marked by different styles, ranging from neo-expressionism to impressionism, @tonitaandrei later work, a left to right anthology of recontextualized symbols subconsciously revived by self-designed color patterns, is a raw surrealistic and satirical view on the social-realist (communist) ideal that has ruptured society. Without a superior intervention of moral, rational or aesthetic judgments, the artist horrifies the spectator and awakens our collective ego from consumerism, ideological extremism and pursuit for meaning.
