Contemporary visual artist from Courtray. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's degree in the Science of Arts (Visual arts and architecture) at the University of Ghent. During his time there he organized several solo exhibitions. However, his experimental phase was rewarded with a breakthrough this year, when he developed a distinct figurative visual language with a sometimes alienating character.
Censorship, certain postures and surreal meetings create a particular tension, which, cannot be indicated immediately. What one does not see is often more powerful than what one does see. The image leaves the spectator in the dark. We only see a fragment of the image or idea which creates a game of meaning. In the end his introspectively challenging paintings remain as open as the philosophical questions haunting us.
